Constitutional Restoration Coalition

An effort by the people to restore lawful constitutional order in Michigan, strengthen lawful accountability, and reaffirm the foundational truth that all just authority flows from We The People.

Our Mission

The Constitutional Restoration Coalition exists to restore lawful constitutional authority in Michigan by re-empowering the people through education, lawful action, and constitutional process. We stand on the foundational principle that all just power flows from the people, and that the Constitution is the highest expression of their will.

Our focus is restoring constitutional mechanisms that have been eroded or displaced over time, including the people’s lawful role in accountability, self-governance, and justice. Central to this restoration is the revival of people-led common-law grand juries—the original and highest form of citizen oversight—through which the people exercise their inherent authority to investigate wrongdoing, demand transparency, and hold public officials and institutions accountable. This mission is carried forward through organized citizen engagement, transparent collaboration, and principled public action—lawful, peaceful, and relentless—so that accountability is returned to the people where it belongs, and a system of justice is re-established that flows from the people themselves, not from unaccountable power structures.

About Us

We are patriots of Michigan—veterans, professionals, parents, and people who love this country and cherish freedom—united by a shared conviction: the Michigan Constitution must be restored to its rightful place above politics, parties, and special interests. This coalition is non-partisan and principle-driven, guided not by ideology, but by an unwavering commitment to lawful constitutional order and the sovereignty of the people.

Our strength comes first from the Creator, and is sustained by integrity, rigorous research, transparency, and meaningful community action. We are building a disciplined, statewide network committed to truth, accountability, and the enduring rights of the people of Michigan. Through education, lawful engagement, and peaceful civic participation, we seek to restore a system of governance that answers to the people, honors the rule of law, and safeguards liberty for present and future generations.

Leadership

The Constitutional Restoration Coalition is building a disciplined leadership structure to support statewide organization, lawful process, consistent communication, and strong county-level execution. Our leadership team exists to serve the people, protect the mission, and keep the work organized, accountable, and transparent.

We operate with clear roles, defined responsibilities, and a commitment to principled, lawful action. As leaders are added, their name and thier role will be listed below. This page will be updated as our leadership team expands across Michigan.

Trevor Winchell

Founder

Trevor Winchell is the founder of the Constitutional Restoration Coalition of Michigan and a dedicated advocate for restoring integrity, accountability, and lawful governance in the state. His work is grounded in constitutional principles, historical precedent, and the inherent authority of the people. Central to his mission is the restoration of the common law grand jury, a critical safeguard of self-governance that was explicitly recognized in Michigan’s 1835 Constitution but removed in the 1850 constitutional revision—an action he believes weakened the people’s ability to hold public officials accountable and shifted power away from the people toward centralized institutions. Through education, civic engagement, and lawful, peaceful action, Trevor works to help Michiganders understand their constitutional history and reclaim the authority that rightfully belongs to them. Through the Coalition, he is building a statewide, people-led effort focused on constitutional restoration rather than political ideology, with the goal of ensuring Michigan’s government once again serves the people as originally intended.
